Today was a day of undescribable beauty (though I will try anyway). The morning begain with some frustration, a wrong turn that led me to a dead end, where swans preened themselves, to get ready for the day on the river. I stopped half a dozen times before lunch to tune and tighten bits of Rose shaken by unpaved roads. But into the hot afternoon things were great. Sunshower smell, rain on hot road, turbulent skies, and a swim before bed, so that I sleep washed of the dirt of the route.
Luxury is having the choice of secluded camp spots next to the river. In my togs, lathered in soap, leaning into swift flowing river. A failed ommelete or a very successful scrambled eggs. And despite rain earlier, I see the sun set to the tree line, illuminating thunderstorms in the distance. I hope for bright road to more Chateus tommorow. I made my second thousand Kilometers today, traveling between Orleans and Blois and I am exhausted.

the picture of your tent with the bike is one of the most beautiful pictures you have, I think.
