A wet and cold night. I regret abandoning my second jersey in a fit of pack anorexia. But its been a good day. I skipped breakfast to get to Vannes early, and spend what seems like forever circling round abouts searching for the camera service centre.
They have been expecting me, and I can’t describe my relief when they bring out a copy of the email that I had sent them, translated into french by google. We are on the same page! Three hours later, I have my camera back, working, with a bew and better lens, an new lens cap, and a new SD card that they gave me.
The whole journey here has been worthwhile. I have everything back, repaired. I am ready to go again. I change my mind about catching the train back to Saint Nazaire, and with this elation cycle around the coastline away from Vannes. Gusts of tail wind pick me up and carry me along, wind in trees drown out distant car noises.
